Frequently Asked Questions
How Long Will It Take Me To Get An Appointment?
We offer same-day or next-day service, seven days a week, for acute or urgent medical problems. For routine or preventive services, such as an annual physical, we can generally schedule an appointment within several days.
Can I See The Doctor On The Weekend?
Yes. Our physicians see patients on Saturday and Sunday.
Can I See The Same Physician Every Time?
Yes. We can generally schedule the same physician for each visit. However, this may not always be possible, for example, if the physician is not available when you want to be seen.
What If I Need Lab or X-ray Studies?
Our physicians will draw blood, and order whatever lab, x-ray, and medical imaging (CT, MRI, etc.) studies might be needed to fully evaluate any medical problem. We can get immediate ("STAT") lab results if required. We also do Electrocardiograms (ECGs) in your home or office.
Do you accept Medicare?
Yes, we accept Medicare and take assignment, which means we bill Medicare directly, and all secondary (Medigap) insurance plans. Please see the insurance section of this website for additional details.
Do You Handle Emergencies
No. For medical emergencies please call 911.
Will My (Non-Medicare) Insurance Reimburse Your Charges?
Because there are many insurance companies, and each one offers many different plans, it is impossible to predict how each plan will reimburse our fees. We provide the paperwork you will need to submit claims for reimbursement to your insurance company, or for a nominal fee, we will file the claim electronically in your behalf.
We do not, however, discount our fees to insurance companies, or participate in their "networks." Therefore, patients who have PPO-type insurance will see our physician as an "out of network" provider. That means the insurance company should reimburse a percent of our professional fees, typically 70% to 80%, after you have met your deductible.
If you have HMO-type or "closed-panel" insurance, which requires you to see only physicians who are part of the plan's "panel" or "network," your carrier will not reimburse our charges.
Can I See The Doctor Before I Leave Home In The Morning?
Yes. We can schedule appointments as early as 7:00a.m. Our goal is to accommodate the lifestyle and time constraints of busy people.
How Do I Pay For Your Service?
We see patients on a "fee-for-service" basis, which means we ask for payment at the time of service. For your convenience, we accept MasterCard, VISA, and AMEX.
We take the information needed to process your credit card when you call for an appointment. Alternatively, you can provide that information on our registration form. We can fax you that form, or you can download it from this website.
