DMHC sets a high bar for customer service, making clinicians available for home visits throughout North Carolina.   A shout out to some of the area industry professionals who recognize we set the gold standard for 24-7 access, with our highly-trained office staff, 7 days a week office hours, and after-hours on-call physicians.  Thanks to all of you who so graciously invite us into your homes!

Seasons at Southpoint

On Friday, May 20th, the 1980s were in full swing at Seasons at Southpoint, thanks to Executive Director Matt Cross and Sales Counselor Resa Strunge. Located at 1002 E. NC Highway 54, Durham, Seasons at Southpoint is just around the corner from DMHC’s home office, so we headed right over. While Reesa’s husband played host by fixing drinks, allowing chef Jim Meehan to concentrate on feeding the sizable crowd, John Townes, a.k.a. D.J. Chuck Chill, spun tunes from yesteryear. There was a lot of history here, indeed. Mr. Townes is the staffer at Seasons with the longest tenure, 18 years! Because he moonlights as a D.J., he was more than happy to provide music. So, who said Assisted Living can’t be fun? Thank you Matt, Reesa, Jim, Chuck Chill and all the great people we work with at Seasons for hosting a party for professionals! Two DMHC clinicians serve Seasons, Dr. Parul Bhagalia and Mary Beth McGranahan; they visit on Tuesday and Thursday, respectively!

Atria Oakridge

On Tuesday, May 24th, we dusted off our hula skirts and coconut shells and joined Atria Oakridge at 10810 Sandy Oak Lane Raleigh. We met many friends and partners during an afternoon of networking, luau-inspired drinks, yummy hors d’oeuvres and calypso music.

It was especially great to see Blair Purvis of Home Choice and Dana Gillespie of Right at Home. Dana shared they just received their skilled nursing license and ACHC accreditation! Thanks to Atria Oakridge Sales Director Joyce Wright and Community Sales Associate Alison Donnelly, we were finally able to meet Executive Director, Michael Brown, too. Stephanie Pickett  made our day by tending the Tiki Bar – No wonder so many independent residents find Atria Oakridge such a great place to live! DMHC’s very own Dr. Stephanie Perry is available to serve patients in their homes at Atria Oakridge on Wednesdays.

Spring Arbor of Durham

spring arbor durham_LeeWednesday, May 25th, the indefatigable Allison Lee, Director of Marketing at Spring Arbor of Durham hosted a wonderful and generous networking breakfast that was appreciated by all. The event was held in the cottage courtyard garden to celebrate the May 5th opening of their Cottage Care for Alzheimer’s and Related Dementia. DMHC’s Katharine Jones visits Spring Arbor of Durham on Tuesdays.

DMHC also stopped by the Spring Arbor location at 4523 N. New Hope Road in Raleigh, to see the impressive work they’ve done and take a tour. Sixteen residents can be accommodated by eight new rooms, and interested parties may contact Allison, directly. We saw Jennifer Albright of Autumns Way, which DMHC’s Dr. Parul Bhagalia serves, as well as many others, including Susan Smith of Alamance-Caswell Hospice, and folks from Bayada. In addition to the Triangle locations, DMHC proudly serves several Spring Arbor communities throughout the state—seven to be exact!
